Beaverhead County Conscription board completed compiling a registry table assigning numbers to Dillon registrants from 1 to 1067 with out of state entries still to come. Of 1145 registered last Wednesday many names were sifted out and returned to home precincts. 28 states are represented. Burnice Farrell is No 1 and Gir Joseph Dangelo No 13. Lew Brundage, at Virginia University, is No 1067. Serial numbers include No 258 as the first order number from the 1918 draft assigned to Erwin Christensen. Mason Receives Two Year Penitentiary Term
Fred Mason also known as Pat O'Brien pleaded guilty before District Judge Henry G. Rogers to grand larceny involving $150 from the Wilbur cafe cash drawer where he worked as a cook. He posted $65 on a car, disappeared for days, and was later arrested in Dillon after aiming to reclaim clothing items.

The first shipment of Hereford bulls for the annual registered show and sale arrived at the sale barn as Bernard Williams notes sales progress moves with precision toward a record sale. A. C. Bayer’s bulls include a reserve champion at Lewistown with an average sale group of 345.00 dollars, and several winners’ brothers will be in Dillon. Harry Tash Jr.’s calf entry at Billings’ regional junior livestock show placed in the top tier against regional entrants.
