Odd Fellows Hold Grand Lodge Meeting in Bozeman
Delegates from Washington lodge of Butte and Excelsior lodge of Helena competed in a degree contest at Elk's hall with Washington lodge prevailing. Grand officers were elected for the coming year and Great Falls was chosen as the next meeting site. A grand parade featured about 300 members, and visitors praised Bozeman’s hospitality and the Western Star Lodge’s courtesies.

Death of Louis Horning in Dillon Underlines Local Loss
Louis Horning died suddenly at his Dillon home on Kentucky avenue from heart failure last Monday evening. Born in Indiana about fifty, he lived in Missouri before moving to Montana two years ago to run a restaurant. He leaves a wife, two children, and several brothers. Horning joined Occident Lodge No 8 of the Knights of Pythias. Funeral services were held today at 2 o clock at his residence, with Rev. A B Martin officiating, and burial at Mountain View cemetery.

Dillon Native Robert W Bammer Dies In Butte At 45
Robert W Bammer a longtime Dillon resident and former Centennial saloon operator died at Murray hospital after a liver illness. He was about 45 native of the South and had mined at Bald Mountain and Hecla before moving to Dillon to run a business and help prospectors. His passing followed a brief decline with his brother expected to claim the remains in Butte with burial likely in Dillon where his infant daughter rests.

Deal Closed on Morse Ranch in Beaverhead County
The J. H. Morse ranch interests in Beaverhead county were sold for 360000 to the Beaverhead Ranching company, formed by Helena investors. The company holds 83000 acres deeded land, 10000 state-leased acres, 22000 sheep, 850 cattle, and 170 horses, with operations centered near Dillon and the Madison forest reserve.
