Beaverhead Chalc ks Up Enviable Record
Beaverhead county officials have reduced expenditures and built a strong financial position. On July 1, the county had no net indebtedness with cash in the warrant and sinking funds sufficient to cover bonds and warrants. Expenditures show long term reductions across general and road funds, while tax rates rise due to lower valuations. Dillon records among Montana towns for low city taxes despite state-wide pressures.
