Dillon Girl Scouts and council members will dedicate a new hike station at Dillmont park tonight. The project was built by Scout parents with material donations from the forest service and Birch Creek CCC camp, featuring a fire circle table and benches. Tragic Deaths Of Polish Man And Sister In Plane Crash
Joseph Polish 24 and his sister in law Mrs Rudolph Polish 21 died when a wing tore from Polish s plane at 500 feet near Reichle. The craft dove and struck a rocky hill leaving wreckage along the slope. Both victims were killed instantly with mangled remains found near the engine and seats.

County Officials Attend Missoula Conservation Meeting

Beaverhead Pilot Courageously Dies in Plunge
Joseph Polish a young Beaverhead aviator died when a wing parted from his plane near Reichle last Sunday. He apparently turned off ignition to protect his passenger, his sister-in-law Mrs Rudolph Polish, who was badly mangled. Polish was an expert and cautious flyer who flew only personal friends as passengers.

Helena October 19 Dillon Montana seed potatoes from Irvine and Cottam Dillon move to distant markets three carloads shipped this week to South American buyers. George L Knight chief horticulturist Montana Department of Agriculture notes 200 carloads of certified seed spuds in twelve varieties produced this year. State college experts inspect and certify seed potato crops. The Dillon farm is among the state’s largest. Theories that dry land potato seed is superior to irrigated products.
