Beaverhead chapter of the Order of DeMolay installed officers for the coming year at the regular meeting last Wednesday. Warren Stone Jr. was named master councilor. The staff includes senior councilor Pete Best junior councilor Bruce Gilbert and many others led by sentinel Garfield Pomeroy and almoner Bill Tait. The Women and Men’s Glee Clubs also elected officers for the year with Janet Smith and Victor Cushman in top posts.

Memorial Plaque Dedication for Joseph Eaton Monroe
Professors J F McBain and E L Fairbanks speak at a Sunday dedication on the Montana State Normal College campus honoring late Joseph Eaton Monroe. Dillon lodge No 16 A F and A M led the services for a man who served as Normal College president, local business figure, high school principal and weather observer for 36 years. The bronze memorial was funded by the Dillon Business and Professional Women's club with support from Anaconda Copper Mining Company.

Three Dillon Men Injured In Wreck Near Lima
Frisco Baker drove the car that left the highway near Lima and injured three Dillon youths. William Stewart and R B Billings suffered head injuries and were treated at Barrett hospital with Stewart held for several days. A front tire blow out was blamed for the crash.

Big cattle auction draws hundreds at C Bar D ranch
October weather brought large crowds to BeaVerhead county for the C Bar D sale owned by F A Hazelbaker. Over 2,000 cattle passed through the ring with top prices on 55 head of weaner calves selling to Staggers of Nebraska at 10.10 per hundred and steers at 8.80.
