Funeral Held for Noted Dillon Resident Bissel Austin
Bissel Austin longtime Dillon resident died suddenly last Saturday from an internal hemorrhage while at the Stoller rooming house. Funeral services were conducted by Rev T W Bennett from Brundage Undertaking parlors with interment at Mountain View cemetery. Born April 14 1853 in Indiana he moved west and settled in Dillon 36 years ago becoming a horse trainer known for developing racing animals. He was a colorful frontiersman with many friends and a kind heart though little is known of his relatives except a sister in Illinois.

Death of Mrs William Carroll A Dillon Matron
Mrs. Lulu Carroll died Thursday at her home in Dillon aged 27. She was born in South Windsor Connecticut and moved to Montana five years ago. A trained nurse she worked in Dr. H F Best dental offices. She died a month after the birth of her first child. Funeral at St Rose Catholic Church with interment in Mountain View Cemetery. Survived by husband William Carroll infant son sister Maud Purdy and brother Frank Madden.

Matt Rebich Crime at Tender Age Draws Jail Hold
The 15 year old Matt Rebich is jailed in Dillon on forgery and robbery charges. He reportedly ran away from Butte last summer and was taken in by a man who stored him at the Robert Bidstrup ranch and sent him to school. Rebich altered a partially made check, cashing it for 45.75 after stealing 30 from his benefactor. He then fled back to Butte.

Dillon to be Headquarters for Motion Picture Troup
Harold J. Binney moving picture producer arrived in Dillon to establish Dillon as the headquarters for a Montana film company to shoot the Vigilantes story in Bannack and other locales during the early sixties. The firm plans hundreds of workers and winter scene shooting beginning in January. Mrs. Clarence Bittner died of pneumonia in Bannack and her funeral plans will be set after relatives arrive from Great Falls.

Oscar Black Arrested for Grand Larceny in Suitcase Theft
Oscar Black was arrested last Monday on a charge of grand larceny for stealing a suit case a suit of clothes and other articles from a man he had befriended. He was arraigned in justice court Monday morning and placed under bonds of one thousand dollars which he could not furnish.

Aged Man Dies at Apex Ranch Home of P G Nelson
William Neville aged 70 died last Thursday at the ranch home of P G Nelson near Apex. He was born in Mobile Alabama and a graduate of the University of Virginia medical school. He had been an invalid for two years and moved to Apex with his son Walter Neville, the local agent. Neville suffered a paralytic stroke before his death and was shipped to Meridian Mississippi for interment. He has three sisters residing in Meridian.
