Three Cars Wrecked Near Barratts Injuring Three
The state highway south of Dillon saw three cars go into a ditch near Barratts last week. George Battle of Alder and Jack Forest of Lima were involved. Mrs Funk and Mrs Bertha Battle suffered cuts and bruises. Forest was transported by rail to Dillon for treatment after his injury.

Beaverhead Court opens with one criminal action on docket
Beaverhead county's first district court term of the year opens October 30 with Judge Lyman H Bennett presiding. The docket lists a single criminal action the state versus Paul Shaffer for assault. The rest of the 19 cases are civil. Frank Reynolds received a one year term after pleading guilty to grand larceny. Mrs. Joe Arrigoni was fined 500 and jailed six months for selling liquor to minors, suspended on good behavior. Wm Huntley and Clark Huntley visited Dillon last Saturday.

County Health Nurse Luella Stickney Reports Year 1932
Beaverhead county health nurse Luella Stickney presented her 1932 annual report at the Federation of Woman's clubs meeting. The year included 87 non communicable and 26 communicable disease visits, 579 total inspections of children and adults, and 31 children given special attention.

Joe Ferguson of Reichle was named chairman of the Beaverhead county wheat growers committee to work with Emergency Agent Ray Haight of Whitehall on the government wheat allotment program. Luther Smith of Dillon was named second director and vice chairman. Maynard Lovell is third director. Haight heads the allotment program in Beaverhead Madison and Jefferson counties from Whitehall. Over 20 district wheat growers attended the meeting and more have signed the wheat acreage agreement. Attending the fiftieth birthday celebration of Dillon Lodge No 16 A F and A M are hundreds of Masons from across Montana with word of 40 Anaconda Masons expected. The anniversary program begins with a 3 pm lodge meeting at the Masonic temple led by past masters and George W Dart.

Beaverhead Wool Shipments Reach Yearly Total
Wool moved from the First National wool warehouse last season totaled 37883,788 pounds, with growers receiving 487,800.44 dollars. An assay office building on North Washington street was destroyed by a blaze, but nearby structures were saved by volunteer firemen. The origin of the fire remains undetermined and alarms were raised by Mrs. George R. Baker.

Elks Entertain Their Ladies at Night Party
Dillon Elks hosted a dancing party for their ladies at the Odd Fellows hall after the lodge meeting. The Elks orchestra featured Francis Tonrey Anson Baxter Dan Henneberry and Melvyn Smith. L M Pfiffner, agent for the Oregon Short Line at Dell, and his family barely escaped a fast spreading blaze that destroyed the Dell depot. Neighbors spotted the fire about 6 am and warned the occupants, but lack of local fire protection prevented saving the building.

Charles Henry Named Chairman of National Education Committee
