Hundreds from Dillon and Beaverhead county traveled to Butte for the Shrine’s annual Holiday on Ice show. The event features music lavish settings and top skating, with the Civic Center praised for enabling regional access to the spectacle. Man Bound Over for Armed Robbery Charge

Mike F. Rebrovich a 43 year old Butte miner was arraigned in justice court and bound over to district court under $1 000 bail for trial on an armed robbery charge. The incident allegedly occurred Monday afternoon with several unusual aspects according to Sheriff MacDonald.

Chan Stallings Victim of Freak Accident at Home

Chan Stallings, a Bannack mining man and custodian of Bannack Monument, was injured Sunday when his car moved and trapped him outside his home. He was taken to Barrett Hospital and reported to be doing as well as can be expected as of Wednesday afternoon.

Plans Complete for 18th Hereford Show and Sale Oct 24

Plans are set for the 18th annual Hereford Bull Show and Sale at the county fairgrounds on Wednesday October 24 with 26 growers consigning 50 bulls. Judge will be Taylor McNevin of Livingston Park County and the sale begins at 1 30 p m with H B Sager of Bozeman as auctioneer. A smoker and entertainment for buyers and consignors is planned at the Elks club Tuesday night with a breakfast for visiting ladies at the Andrus hotel Wednesday morning. Journalists representing Montana Stockmen Montana Farmer and Ranchman and the American Hereford Journal will cover the event.

Seven-County Leaders Conference at WMCE Dillon

Beaverhead county hosts the Seven-County District 4-H Leaders conference October 15 16 at Western Montana College of Education in Dillon. Leaders and extension agents from Silver Bow Madison Jefferson Deer Lodge Powell Granite Lewis and Clark Broadwater and Beaverhead counties will discuss 4-H problems and exchange ideas with a banquet luncheon and Indian themed program guest speaker Vern Dusenberry of Montana State College. Registration starts 9:00 am Monday with junior leaders from Beaverhead acting as hosts and guides.
