Montana's 75 day duck season runs Oct 5 to Dec 18 with a five bird daily bag and ten possession limit. Geese open the same day with six geese west of the Divide and six east of the Divide, including limits on Canada geese. Shooting hours are one half hour before sunrise to sunset. Closures protect Canada geese habitat in Chinook reservoir Freezeout area Massé Tshell and Tongue river areas.

Pheasant Season Set Statewide for 22 Days in Montana
The Montana Fish and Game Commission announced a statewide pheasant season from noon October 27 to sunset November 17. Bag limits are three male pheasants and limits for Hungarian partridge vary by region, with restrictions on weapons and transport.
