Legion To Present Its Show Next Week At Training School
The American Legion will stage a two hour program next Tuesday and Wednesday at the training school auditorium. Baxter-Tonrey will lead the orchestra and DiNon's popular entertainment will be revived. Three full acts plus two curtain skits open at 8 pm with reserved seats at half previous prices. More than 60 in the cast including Normal college students and local vaudevillians.

Christmas Seal Sale Begins In Montana Campaign
The 1934 Christmas seal sale in Millon is directed by Dr Leanora May named chairman by the Montana Tuberculosis association in Helena which is organizing the state campaign. Locally the sale is run by the Shakespeare club with Dr May as chairwoman as efforts this month inform the public about the meaning and purpose of the drive.

Charity Ball Draws Immense Local Throng
The Dillon Elks lodge hosted a charity ball at the city hall auditorium, attracting a large crowd Saturday night. MURDER CASE OPENS JURY TERM IN BEAVERHEAD COUNTY

Mrs Waldorf Dies in Dillon After Lingering Illness
Mrs Sara R Waldorf 84 a longtime Lima and Dillon resident died Tuesday at the Andrus hotel after a long illness. Born in England she moved to the United States as a young woman and settled in Kansas before arriving in Beaverhead county in 1897. She spent most of her life in Dillon with periods in Lima and California.

Wisdom November 27 Special report describes a successful carnival and cabaret at the Masonic hall. Attendance began at 6 with supper, the floor show featured Miss Helen Hirschy, Myla Tovay, Dell Lloyd, ArEyle Stephens, Elsie Lloyd, Harold Capehart, Ivan Shaw, Mrs. Wallace Francis, and four dancing ladies. Woman pleads guilty second degree murder in Montana
Jessa Moore, 49, a Dell ranch hand, pleaded guilty to second degree murder before Judge Lyman H. Bennett and was sentenced to 26 years. She was jailed at Deer Lodge shortly after. Moore killed George Winters, 69, with a stick at the Thompson ranch in Dell on Nov 9. Winters died Nov 19 at Barrett hospital. Moore waived time limits and Attorney T E Gilbert accepted the plea for economy. Moore said Winters had tried to drive him off the ranch and expressed no regret.

A Boy Scout leaders' training course will be offered this winter in Dillon. A committee led by Rev. J. A. Meeke J C Jeppson and George C Farrell will arrange the course to strengthen the local organization. Sheep Buying Program Completed in Beaverhead County
Beaverhead county completed its sheep buying program last Friday with the final carload of pelts shipped to Miles City. A total of 29,791 head were purchased at $2 each, totaling $59,582, falling short of the 32,000 head quota. Most checks are at the County Agent Bernard Williams’ office for stockmen to pick up and sign for.

Beaverhead county high school's Beaver, a weekly student paper, won first prize in Class B for newspaper excellence and second in service to schools in a Northern Interscholastic Press association contest.
