The Dolphins aquatic club of Montana State Normal college will stage the annual water pageant Rainbow Ripples at the college plunge Friday and Saturday nights under Marjorie Hamer with Mildred Spaberg assisting. John Gilbert of Dillon Montana, a University of Chicago freshman, finished second to Roland Funk of Salt Lake City in the Chicago fall golf tournament. Funk shot 75 on Jackson Park as Gilbert, who led at three intervals, fell 2 up after the 18th hole with a late hook by Gilbert.

Memorial Services by Dillon Elks at Training School
The Dillon Elks held their annual memorial service Sunday evening at the training school auditorium with a fair-sized crowd. Charles Henry, superintendent of Dillon schools, spoke on the occasion. Exalted Ruler Francis Gelhaus and lodge officers led the rites. A string wind ensemble directed by L A Gregory performed, joined by a ladies' quartet from the Choral club and other performers.

Mrs George Conway Dies At Helena
Mrs George B Conway, 74, longtime Dillon resident, died at her Helena home after a six month illness. Born April 7 1860 in Long Meadows Massachusetts she lived in Indianapolis Glendale Dillon and Helena. She married George B Conway March 6 1881 and was active in Miriam chapter No 1 Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of.

F. J. Caskin Claimed By Illness In Dillon Community
Dillon resident Frank J. Caskin died after a long illness at a Rochester Minnesota hospital. Born August 18 1884 in Majone New York he moved to Dillon in 1916 and worked as a plumber for Dart Hardware. He was a charter member of the Loyal Order of Moose and a Knights of Columbus member. He married in 1909 at Malone New York and leaves wife two sons Barry and Gerald four sisters and three brothers. Elizabeth Caskin was with him in Rochester when he died. The body will arrive in Dillon tomorrow night funeral arrangements pending.

Representative Ed Cross of the American Red Cross, Miss Nora Rolf, and Luella Stickney visited Beaverhead County to inspect Red Cross work. Thanksgiving services were held in Dillon with Methodist Presbyterian and Baptist churches uniting at the Methodist church.

Local Talent Delights Beaverhead Legion Show
A large audience enjoyed a varied program by Beaverhead American Legion at the training school auditorium. The annual show opened with Normal college students performing a Gypsy Dance led by Ruth Phelps with accompanist, delivering songs, dancing and comedy that drew frequent applause. The entertainment will be repeated tonight. Highlights included a lively display by local talent and engaging acts throughout the evening.

Dillon’s First City Garage Founder Dies
T K Julson, who started Dillon's first automobile garage after arriving from Norway in 1907, died Monday night after a monthlong illness. Funeral services were held at Brundage chapel with Rev. F X Lechner officiating. Interment followed in Mountain View cemetery. He previously ran a bicycle shop and later radio repair work, surviving wife and three children.

Duck Stamps Sold in Montana in Brief Hunting Time
Eighteen states report selling 182,407 federal migratory bird hunting stamps for the 1934 38 season. Minnesota leads with 32,433, followed by Wisconsin 29,446 and Wyoming 16,197. Montana records 10,634 stamps as the season closes in many states.

Beaver Permits May Be Issued for Trapping in State
The Montana fish and game department may issue between 600 and 660 permits for trap destructive beaver. J. W. Carney said last week. Last year the department issued 400 permits. The beaver permit fee is $10 and the permittee must send hides of all catches to be tagged at department offices, then returned to the catcher. Permits are issued only to owners.

Winter Term Postponed in Beaverhead County Court
Beaverhead county district court winter jury term ordered by Judge Lyman H. Bennett to open January 14 after a month delay. The calendar stays mostly the same with the murder case against Samuel Hayden, charged in the April killing of John O Connor, as the first action. Jurors summoned for Monday remain the same for the January term.

Fromberg Man Dies After Weeklong Illness
Frank Holtes, 42, of Fromberg, died at Barrett hospital after a weeklong illness. He was struck ill while passing through Dilton the prior week and relatives were summoned from Fromberg. The body was taken to Fromberg for burial.
