Beaverhead County High School auditorium was filled to capacity for the senior class three act drama Cappy Ricks. Miss Olive Scholz directed with Ashley Roberts and Bee Forsyth in leading roles. The cast included Betty MacCalkins George Judge Raymond Johnson George McDonald Ivan Shaw Anna Lee Briggs Lorrin Carnutt and others. Intermissions featured selections by the high school orchestra directed by L A Gregory.

John F. Bishop, founder of Montana’s wool industry and long time Beaverhead County resident, died at his home after a prolonged illness aged 92. He arrived in Bannack in 1863 and with R A Reynolds brought the first band of sheep to Montana in 1869. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Masonic temple with Dillon Masonic Fraternity in charge and Rev T J Simons of the Presbyterian church officiating. Interment in Mountain View cemetery.

Madison Youths Arrested After Sheep Herder Robbery
Two Madison county youths allegedly robbed a sheep herder at Gleed ranch near Lima last Wednesday night. Night Officer Warren Sutherland arrested them in Dillon early Thursday morning after a $60 missing money find. A roll of bills was in the car, and the youths reportedly confessed but await arraignment.
