Funeral Held for Beaverhead Matron Jessie Poindexter
Services were held yesterday at St James Episcopal Church for Jessie Cattanach Poindexter former pioneer matron of Beaverhead county. She died last Saturday evening at her daughter’s home in Harlowton after a lingering illness following a July operation in Butte. Poindexter long esteemed in Dillon, came here in the 1880s from Canyon City Oregon and later moved to Columbia Missouri.

Montana farmer exhibits from Big Hole basin hay head to Chicago for the International Hay and Grain show opening next Saturday. Lieutenant Governor Frank Hazelbaker entered the hay which won a world championship last year. The exposition runs through December sixth with many Montana farmers expected to attend.

Dillon Man Dies in Monterey After Long Illness
H D Weenink longtime Dillon resident died Friday in Monterey California after a lingering illness. He was 69 born in Elko Wisconsin came to Dillon in 1888 started a photography business and retired five years ago survived by wife three daughters Mrs Gosman of Lima Mrs Moone of Los Angeles Mrs Pelzer of Des Moines and son Melvin Weenink of Dillon. Union Thanksgiving services will be held at the First Baptist church at 10 30 tomorrow morning with six churches taking part and the annual Thanksgiving offering donated to Barrett Hospital.
