High school basketball practice will start soon under Coach Harold Babcock with an anticipated early December game against Anaconda high school. Improvements to the gymnasium are underway and several veterans from last year return, along with several part timers. County Navy Relief Drive Ends Today
Edwin R Buck county chairman reports the drive to raise 500 for Navy relief ended with about 200 short after sending 750 letters to county citizens requesting 1.00 donations. Funds will go to the state Naval Relief society in Helena, a society long self supporting. The Pearl Harbor attack and battles in the Coral Sea and Midway increased civilian aid needs.
