Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges plan their annual district convention in Dillon next Saturday June 3 with more than 100 visitors expected from Butte Anaconda South Butte Centerville Jackson Deer Lodge Melrose Sheridan Meaderville and local hosts Dillon and Melrose. Business sessions begin at 1 p m with IOOF at the Odd Fellows hall and Rebekahs at the city hall a joint banquet will follow.

One of the season’s largest local catches came from Mrs J H Keenan of the Beaverhead valley who landed a 10 pound rainbow trout about 24 inches long from the Beaverhead river last Sunday after a hard struggle. An expert angler, she has previously caught several prize specimens this season mainly from the Big Hole river.

Graveside Rites for Former Dillon Resident
Graveside services were conducted last Thursday by Rev. J A Meeke for Mrs. Margaret McAllister once of Dillon. Her ashes were interred at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial services were held May 8 at Merkley mortuary Los Angeles with the Eastern Star in charge. She was born August 9 1872 in Wellsvale Utah and resided in Dillon for several years.
