A larger than expected delegation toured the Lima reservoir around 9 AM Sunday led by Frank A. Hazelbaker secretary of the Water Users Irrigation company. The 18 mile long reservoir holds about 120000 acre feet of water, the largest amount in its history, signaling ample stock water this summer. A lunch followed the dam tour. The dam marks the first private irrigation project built with a Public Works Administration loan.

The 11.0.0.F. and Rebekah lodges hold their annual district convention in Dillon on Saturday June 3 under Bannack lodge of Melrose Appello lodge of Dillon Melrose Rebekah lodge and Diana Rebekah lodge of Dillon. Miss Anna Patterson Dies After Pneumonia in Dillon
Miss Anna Patterson longtime Dillon resident died at Barrett hospital after a brief pneumonia illness. Born April 4 1868 in Williamsburg Pa she moved to Dillon in 1892 and returned in 1911. Survived by four nieces two nephews and a brother S S Patterson with funeral at Brundage chapel and burial in Mountain View cemetery.

Car overturns injuring Mrs. Neubert on highway near Dillon
Mrs. Cyrus Neubert 56 of Fort Benton was treated at Barrett hospital for shock and bruises after a car driven by her husband overturned on the Butte Dillon highway about 10 miles north of Dillon. Neubert said he lost control. he escaped injury. The car was badly damaged.

Willis Chandler Found Dead in Cabin in Beaverhead County
Willis Chandler a Beaverhead county resident for 26 years was found dead in his cabin on North Idaho street Saturday. Authorities say death came from natural causes. Born in Missouri 68 years ago he once ran a service station here. Funeral services were held Monday from Brundage chapel with interment. No relatives could be located.

Beaverhead county high school's bond issue for completion of the new building carried easily last Saturday with an eight to one margin. Voters approved 634 to 76. only one precinct opposed by a narrow margin. Total turnout reached 74 votes more than the required 40 percent of registered voters, but the issue needed 636 ballots to be valid.

Bulldogs Place Second at Billings Meet Led by Davidson and Hamilton
Montana Normal finished second in the Montana collegiate conference meet in Billings with 37 points. Billings Poly won with 47, Montana Mines third with 31, North Montana 17, Eastern Normal 10, and Carroll 1. Davidson won three events in shot put, javelin, and discus, while Hamilton set a conference high jump record of 5 feet 11 3/4 inches and placed in other events. George E. Dodgson a Wise River Montana pioneer with over 60 years in the area died Sunday night in a Butte hospital after a brief illness. Born in Wisconsin 76 years ago he came to Montana as a boy in 1673 and settled first at Radersburg then Dewey where he spent his life ranching and was well known in the Big Hole basin. His mother Margaret Dodgson was said to be the first white resident of the Dewey district arriving when pack trains were the only transport.
