Dillon Council Adopts Two Hour Downtown Parking Limit
The Dillon City Council approved a downtown two hour parking limit effective Friday June 2 1950. The ordinance sets daily limits from 8:00 a m. to 6:00 p m except Sundays in the business district. The meeting also noted a $50 campaign contribution from Charles C Thornton a former Dillon resident now in Oklahoma City.

Western Montana College Bull dogs will travel to Billings for the Small College Conference spring sports carnival. Participating schools include School of Mines Northern M.C.E. Eastern M.C.E. Rocky Mountain and Carroll colleges. Coaches Bill Straugh and Carl Davis enter four teams in track base ball tennis and golf with eleven trackmen eleven base ballers and two players in tennis and golf. Group 6 of the Montana Bankers association will hold its annual meeting in Dillon on Saturday May 13. The business session is at the council chambers in city hall and a banquet will be served at the Andrus dining room that evening. Guests from Madison Jefferson Silver Bow Deer Lodge Powell and Beaverhead counties will attend along with about 100 bank officials and their wives.
