An announcement by U S game management agent K F Roachen states the waterfowl hearings for Montana scheduled in Missoula on May 6 and Great Falls on May 8 are postponed beyond the regional hearings on May 22 and 26. Two Montana hearings were planned to balance travel time, Missoula for southwestern to northwestern districts and Great Falls for eastern districts, with new dates to be announced later.

Robert Moore dies in California at 58
Robert Moore longtime Dillon resident died at his Hayward California home on April 22. He was born in Dillon and later lived in Salmon Idaho and Hayward where he ran a butcher business. Survived by sister Mrs. J T Cox and niece Catherine Cox of Hollywood. Funeral and burial were held in Hayward on April 26.

Mrs. Margaret Quigley 84 widow of Martin Quigley, a former Big Hole rancher, died at Barrett hospital after breaking her hip in a Dillon home fall. Born November 7 1865 in Fulton Kansas she moved to Beaverhead County earlier this century, later residing at 124 Dakota Street Dillon. Survived by daughter and son in law George Pettit grandchildren Dale and Marjorie Ralph Quigley Libby Francis Pettit sister in law Anna Guilfoyle and several nieces and nephews. Rosary Sunday night at Brundage chapel and funeral Monday at St Rose Church with pallbearers Alvin Owen Emil Conger Elmer Sage Jules Wenger Len Holloran Frank Fidler. Interment Mountain View Cemetery.

College Plans New Track Grandstand and Dormitory Expansion

The Bea verhead county high school board certifies voter approval in a special election. The levy raises 10000 for ongoing operations with 226 in favor and 213 against. A separate measure to raise 5000 for a school bus failed by 150 yes to 295 no.
