Full Crew Arrives at Birch Creek CCC Camp
A 200 man CCC crew is quartered at Birch Creek camp with 175 arriving Friday from Port Missoula and California and 25 already onsite. The project list includes 14 miles of Birch Creek to head of the creek and Pear Lake, plus 13 miles up Sheep creek to French creek and four miles to Bond reservoir, with multiple road improvements and camp grounds planned along the routes. Winter work includes improving the Birch Creek road to the mouth and reconstrucing a road in the Badger pass district.

Wagon Wheels May Fete at Montana State Normal College
The Montana State Normal College annual May Fete titled Wagon Wheels will be staged Friday night in the college gymnasium. Under the Women's Athletic association, with Marjorie Hamer supervising, the western themed pageant features cowboy and Indian dances. About 60 college women and 130 training school pupils participate, and five candidates contend for queen: Erma Cusker, Grace Frost, Rae Harrington, Ruth Phelps, and Mildred Spaberg, with the coronation kept secret until the ceremony. The event is open to the public with no admission fee.

Immunization Clinic Immunizes 279 Children in Dillon Event
A Bea lead county public health clinic at the Dillon training school immunized 279 children for smallpox and diphtheria, the most ever treated at such a Dillon clinic. On Wednesday 147 youngsters aged 6 months to 14 outside District No 10 received vaccines. Thursday 132 children aged 6 to 14, all at Dillon training school, were treated with vaccines and antitoxin. Local doctors administered care with County Nurse Luella Stickney and School Nurse Katherine MacGregor assisting. Needy children received free immunizations, funded in part by the Dillon Elks lodge.
