Eleventh Beaverhead County High Commencement Plans
Beaverhead County high school prepares for its eleventh annual Commencement in May with 13 graduates led by Gov. Edwin L. Norris as speaker. The ceremony at Normal College auditorium includes domestic science diplomas, a class day, a junior reception, a baccalaureate sermon, and an alumni banquet. The class will perform Men, Maids and Matchmakers in a nationally noted program.

A city baseball effort in Dillon raises 5000 dollars by stock at 10 dollars a share with a goal of a championship. The Dillon Base Ball Association is formed with C A Smith as president and G T Paul as vice president. A manager will be chosen soon and the season is planned to open on Decoration Day.

Beaverhead Club Secures Right of Way for Gilmore to Twin Bridges
The Beaverhead Commercial Club committee led by T. D. Olmsted W. A. Jones and F. A. Hazelbaker reports securing options for the entire right of way from Dillon to Twin Bridges for the Gilmore and Pittsburg railroad. Options sent to Pittsburg with plans to take up by June 1. Rumor of starting work at Dillon on the 15th circulates but is unverified.

Shriners Train through Dillon Triggers Town Celebration
The Shriners Special drew a large crowd at Dillon depot last Friday night. A Boston and Montana band led by Samuel H. Treloar performed to enthusiastic encore as visitors received little brown jug souvenirs filled with Zem Zem or Camel milk. Arab patrols from Bagdad temple entertained the crowd on the lawn while dining and observation cars debuted on the luxury Pullman train. Local riders include L. K. Adams and wife, S. M. McKnight and wife, Henry Gleed, Robert Schendel, Jay Baker, and George Buck.

Lillie Oliver Hughes wife of George P. Hughes dies after bronchial illness and pneumonia. Born 1875 in Franklin Idaho she grew up in Dillon and married Hughes in 1901. Survived by her husband son James Emergon and extended family with funeral at Baptist Church and burial at Mountain View cemetery.

Improvements At Pool Hall In Dillon On Idaho Street
Walter Forster proprietor of the Dillon Pool and Billiard Hall is remodeling to create a top resort with bowling alleys and lockers. Two maple alleys will be installed and ready for reopening next Saturday night. The hall will feature five pool tables and one billiard table with new ivory balls and upgraded equipment. This revival aimed to boost interest in a once popular Dillon pastime.
