A town confrontation led to his being ducked in a mill ditch and tarred before commissioners, leading to charges against seventeen residents that were later withdrawn. Dillon May Lose Main Line Through Madison Valley
The Madisonian reports the Oregon Short Line plans a new through Madison valley route from Idaho Falls to Butte, via the park branch. Surveyors including George H. Potter have begun work this summer to secure rights of way. The main U S S traffic could move to Madison valley within two years, making the Idaho Falls to Butte line a branch.

The Frying Pan Sheep company led by former Senator J P Murray sold its holdings to Wood Live Stock company. About 11000 acres of land and 10000 head of sheep transfer with one real estate parcel excluded.
