Arbor Day Celebrations Bring Sunshine and Civic Pride
Arbor Day drew ideal weather with brilliant sun and heat, closing businesses and quieting the town. Schools were closed for a holiday as county high school grounds welcomed new trees and North College planted shrubs, while many residents traveled to nearby canyons and mountains for picnics and outdoor enjoyment.
