Prohibition Officer Leads Beaverhead County Arrests
W N Wilke aided by local officers led last weeks arrests in Beaverhead County under prohibition laws. John Barry was arrested at his North Pacific home where a still fashioned from two large wash oilers with a dinner bell coil was seized along with two gallons of moonshine and about 60 gallons of mash. Frank Grant and Laddie Weston faced charges of selling intoxicating liquor with arrests at the Dixie rooming house and similar charges at the Climer rooming house where seven gallons of moonshine were recovered. A first time incident saw a woman placed under arrest for violation of prohibition. All defendants pled not guilty and were held to the district court in bonds of 200 dollars.

The funeral for John Consentino was held in Dillon on Monday from Brundage chapel. Interment followed at Mountain View cemetery. Two Public Caucuses Held Last Week Well Attended
Two of the largest crowds for school and city caucuses gathered last week. Leonard Eliel and H. G. Gimble led the school caucus with nominations for school trustees. In the city caucus Mayor Roscoe Cornell presided as wards organized for voting next Monday. Four incumbent aldermen were unanimously chosen in their wards with polling places listed.
