Murray Stebbins secretary of the Montana Wool Growers Association will speak at a meeting to discuss the wool marketing plan. The event brings together association members and local growers to review proposals and potential market strategies.
A large turnout of Beaverhead and Madison county ex service men will travel to Armstead for a Beaverhead post meeting with a banquet at the Armstead Inn. Dillon and Grant officials join the program led by Parker Scott Edgar Rife J C Jeppson R D Curry and Robert Marchesseau. Separately Beaverhead and Madison woolgrowers convene Thursday at 2 30 at the county courthouse Dillon with Murray Stebbins speaking on cooperative wool marketing and wage scales for lumbers shearers and herders.
J K Hesler Ninth district director announced the district'.s enumerators for Beaverhead County. The 30 day census period begins April 2. enumerators in Dillon include C B Medsker, Joseph J Newnes, Blair R Sprinkle, Mrs Newnes and others with boundaries to be fixed.
The April issue of the Montana Congress of Parents and Teachers monthly Bulletin is published and mailed to educators and P T A workers statewide. It features articles on Better Homes Week by Mrs. Luebben of Dillon, The Pre School Child by Dr. True, Music in Leisure Time by Helen McBride, plus national convention notes and state news. Theodore Wright of the city is reported as a patient in Salt Lake City after an appendicitis operation.
Beaverhead County High School coach ACH Breeden plans outdoor practices soon as weather allows. With no current dual meets, candidates showing ability may lead to a state meet appearance in Missoula in May. Notable athletes include Major Daxsie, Pendergast, Sissons, Lloyd English, Tiny Holden, and Hansen.
Milivia Payette, a youth linked to a recent killing of Mrs. Christina Wilson, drew a crowd of over 100 as the northbound Oregon Short Line train paused at Dillon depot. He appeared unconcerned while eating lunch during the stop.
Erman Jackson, a Beaverhead county pioneer since 1884, died Friday at H L Clark home in Dillon after a long illness. Born November 10, 1853 in Schleswig Holstein, he lived in Dillon the last 20 years. (Continued on page 8)
Montana State Normal College opened its spring quarter on Monday with enrollment figures showing a slight decrease from the same period last year. Registration announced at 314, with several students still registering.

Miss Elveretta Lengdorf, chief operator at the local telephone exchange, is a patient in a Rochester hospital following a recent operation at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Phil Shenon of the School of Mines in Butte will be the principal speaker at the Beaverhead Mining association meeting at the county courthouse Saturday night. He will discuss Beaverhead geology, especially the Argenta district, and mining district representatives are expected to attend to hear reports and plan future development.
Dillon fans plan to form a local baseball team for the diamond this year after a Monday night meeting at Red’s barber shop. A preliminary practice and tryout are scheduled for next Sunday at the athletic field, inviting all who have played baseball to join.
Four incumbents George Gosman Ward 1 Albert Featherly Ward 2 A G Williams Ward 3 and John T Orr Ward 4 were renominated at the city caucus held last Friday night at City Hall. Election set for Monday April 7 with unopposed prospects. School caucus scheduled next Saturday at 8 p m at the training school magic. Other districts hold elections April 5.
Undertaker Duncan of Sheridan received the body of the late R. K. Hutchins to transport to Ennis for burial. Hutchins, a Madison valley native born near Hutchins Mountain Home ranch about 40 years ago, died in Long Beach California after four months there seeking a health change. He is survived by his wife, his parents Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Hutchins, a brother Elliott Hutchins of Bozeman, and four sisters Cloe Hutchins, Mrs. Otto Kirby of Lyon, Mrs. Charles Rodgers of Sheridan, and Mrs. J. D. Shewmaker of Ennis.
Notice from Billings that Montana delivers the first carload of wool for the year to the National Wool Marketing Corporation in Boston. The Montana Co operative may advance 24.14 cents per pound, about 90 percent of estimated value, weight around 30 000 pounds from Mackey Sheep Co Billings. The wool will ship directly to Boston.
Rank P Shoemaker, veteran conductor on the Oregon Short Line, suffered a crushed left arm in a train accident near Butte last Thursday night. He slipped under moving wheels and was hospitalized after a blood transfusion. Physicians hope to save the limb. The injured man is known in Dillon and along the Short Line.
