Beaverhead County high school placed Charlie Burgess and Jack Cashmore on the all state team after a rough run at the Anaconda state basketball tournament. They lost the opener to Great Falls 34 23 and dropped a 31 29 overtime decision to Billings before a poorer performance in their final game.

Pheasants Released in Beaverhead Valley by Butte Anglers
The Beaverhead valley saw a rise in bird numbers Sunday as 101 Chinese pheasants from Maiden Rock hatchery were released north and south of Dillon. William Carpenter, president, and W. M. Lloyd, secretary, oversaw the planting at J. H. Keenan ranch Carter ranch and near Anderson Lane. The Butte Anglers club plans continued restocking of streams with fish and will supply pheasant eggs to local residents willing to raise birds with Beaverhead Sportsmen’s association approval.
