Red Cross Ships Large Shipment of Hospital Articles
Beaverhead Red Cross chapter members honored for work room and garment department leadership. A large shipment of 3,247 hospital garments and knitted items packed by Mrs. Frank Nelson and Mrs. B. W. Emerick were sent to district headquarters, including a wide range of medical textiles and 210 knitted sweaters plus 125 pairs of socks. A second shipment nearly as large is ready to go this month.

Auto Accident Stuns Dillon As Car Flips Into River

Dillon to Build Flour Mill Adjoining Beaverhead Elevator
Ground was broken for a new flour mill in Dillon, adjoining the Beaverhead elevator. The Beaverhead Milling and Elevator company will operate a 75 barrel daily plant, with room to expand to meet demand, at an estimated cost of 35000 dollars. Fred Klinger L F Neilson of the American Association of Mill Constructors and attorney Ralph Eckhardt helped finalize the deal. The mill will absorb the Beaverhead Co operative elevator valued at 16000 dollars with Harry Williams named manager. Funeral of Mrs Will W Simpson Held in Spokane
The funeral for Mrs. Will W Simpson who died in Spokane Washington after an appendicitis operation was held there last week. Born in Dillon 27 years ago she was the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs W D Oliver pioneer Beaverhead residents. She grew up in Dillon attended the public schools and Normal college. Ten years ago she married W W Simpson a Dillon newspaper man and they later moved to Spokane. She is survived by her husband her parents and one brother W D Oliver of Dillon.

German Gun Registration Trouble Leads to Prosecution

Baby Beef Sale at Big Hole Basin Auction
Gus Swanson sold to W M Montgomery Co Anaconda a herd of 100 baby beef cattle this week. Most were yearlings or two year olds with an average weight around 1299 pounds. Many Ayrshire cattle from Walter C Jones Wise River last season cost him 40 and sold for 140 dollars each.

Wisdom men charged with gambling in pool hall
