Many Signers Back Poindexter Health Officer Appoint

Poindexter Elected Exalted Ruler of Dillon Elks
E L Poindexter was elected exalted ruler at the Dillon Elks lodge 1554 at the Odd Fellows hall. Exalted Ruler Terry Browning named as representative to the national Elks convention in Atlantic City in July. Other officers include Melton Inney Johnson Baker Orr Emerick Faust. A stag party will follow April installation. Local aviator Fred Woodside made a perfect dead stick landing between Dillon and Sheridan after a broken pipe.

General Manager E R Reed announces a new Reed's Riteway store will open Saturday morning in the Metlen building on South Idaho Street Dillon. The model up to date shop features a red front gray interior glass counters and a full hardware houseware and sporting goods line. Mrs. Gill Dies at Daughter’s Ranch Home Near Dillon
Mrs. Marion Gills aged 92 died last Thursday at her daughter Elza Smith’s ranch near Dillon after a lingering illness. Funeral Saturday at the Smith home with Rev. J D Smith officiating. Remains to be shipped to Goodhope Illinois for interment. survivors include a daughter, a Salt Lake City son, several eastern sons, and grandchildren.

SHoots Self Near Dillon in Axe's Canyon
Relatives in Oklahoma ILBERT CARTER, a homestead owner, was found dead in a cabin in Axe's canyon southeast of Dillon with a .22 pistol by his side. Undersheriff Carl Hartwig and Coroner James E. Phillips ruled it a suicide after neighbors reported he was last seen Saturday night and mail remained at the door.

Four Aldermen to be Chosen at City Election
Four aldermen will be elected at the city election scheduled for Monday in April. The retiring four are John T. Orr George M. Gosman Albert B. Featherly and A J Hams elected two years ago. Normal State College debaters Miss Anda Peterson of Hinsdale and Miss Mary Dougherty of Butte won a unanimous decision over a University team at the college auditorium Monday night. They argued for complete disarmament except for necessary police forces, impressing judges and the audience.
