Forest Bayerd reports steady progress on the Mountain View cemetery project in Dillon. WPA crews have laid 1,900 feet of donated steel pipe, reservoir construction will start after frost clearance, and a 70,000 gallon reservoir with a stone arch entrance is planned using cut stone from the county high school. The work includes landscaping and evergreen planting funded by the Dillon Business and Professional Women's club and WPA dollars from last summer. a well was drilled last fall.

Deer and Moose Killing Charged in Wise River Area
In Dillon justice court two men and a woman faced charges after deer and a moose were killed out of season near Meadow Creek in Wise River. Oah Clarkson of Wise River pleaded guilty and was sentenced. Gus Anderson Frances Moore of Butte were charged and waived hearings with trial set for March 21. Deputy wardens and officials conducted the arrest.

Severe cold grip hits Beaverhead County with snowfall
Winter brought a deep chill as temperatures dropped to 19 degrees below zero early Sunday and valley snow accumulated four to six inches from Friday night through Sunday. By Sunday afternoon the thermometer rose to 29 above, and gradual thawing followed. Ranchers welcomed the moisture, but the Dillon Ski Club cheered the fresh snow at Elkhorn Springs for excellent skiing.

Two Injured in Car Crash Near Reichle
Two Butte women Mrs. P. J. Ansel and Miss Pauline Lapp were hurt Sunday afternoon in a crash two miles south of Reichle on Highway 91. They were treated at Barrett hospital for cuts and bruises. Driver A. H. Ansel and passenger Peter Ansel were uninjured as the car skidded on ice, struck a guard rail and overturned.

Dillon Man Pleads Guilty in Tire Theft Case
John Schooley pleaded guilty to a felony and was sentenced to two years in state prison after arraignment in district court before Judge Henry G. Rodgers. He was arrested in Mountain Home Arkansas and brought back to Dillon to face the automobile tire theft charge.

Wise River Man Passes Saturday Morning at Home
Dave Baulieu aged 68 died at his Wise River home Saturday morning after a brief illness. Deputy Sheriff Dellar Gordon and H. M. Brundage brought the body to Dillon. A Maine native, he had lived in Beaverhead county for years, worked on Horse Prairie ranches, and lately resided in Wise River. He is survived by a brother in Sidney, Montana.

Isaac Marble 85 a Beaverhead county resident for over 50 years died Sunday at his cabin near Roy Selway ranch north of Dillon after a brief illness. Born June 4 1854 in Effingham NL he moved to Minnesota in 1866 then Montana in 1867, settling in Bozeman and Centennial valley. Survived by his wife Jessie Tibbles a brother John Marble of Missoula and several nieces and nephews. Funeral this afternoon at Brunage chapel Grace Methodist Church, burial Mountain View cemetery.
