Loren Irion Victim Of Accident Near Dillon
Loren Irion twenty year old Armstead youth died at Barrett hospital from internal injuries suffered when a motorized bull rake left the highway at the south end of Van Camp's bridge five miles south of Dillon. He was jolted to the hospital after being found on the road by Bert Megquier and taken in by Sheriff Temple and Deputy Gordon. Authorities suggest icy road conditions may have caused the skidding.

Dillon Ski club and Women's Athletic Association of Normal College members enjoyed outdoor sports at Elkhorn Springs last weekend. County road crews opened the highway to the resort allowing full car access. prior weekends required bobsleds from Polaris. Fifteen ASA members traveled by truck with Miss Marjorie Hamer and Miss Georgia Mathews, stayed in the new lodge, and swam and skied Sunday after a four inch snowfall. Another trip is planned for next Sunday.

Bobcat Band to Appear in Dillon With Local High School
