Patrick Desmond 82 prominent Beaverhead pioneer stockman died of a heart attack last Wednesday at his daughter Mrs Chester Bariett’s home on Thomson avenue. Born in Cork Ireland March 17 1862 he came to America at 19 working on eastern river steamboats and later on the Columbia river. He moved to Montana in 1880 and settled in Beaverhead county.

Arthur W. Connolly 82 prominent Dillon businessman died last Friday at Barrett hospital after a brief illness. Born in Milwaukee March 1 1862 he moved to St Paul before settling in Dillon in 1886. He joined Dart Hardware 1888 later purchasing an interest and becoming president when the firm reorganized in 1909.

Normal Montana State Normal college Gargoyles presented their winter quarter play The Late Christopher Bean at the college auditorium last Friday night. Myrtle Savidge directed the three act comedy, a Broadway success, in amateur form with a large audience. Beaverhead County residents will have two chances next month to view the Chevrolet on display. Union Pacific’s new streamlined train will pass through Dillon northbound at 7 22 PM on Wednesday April 4 and again later that night. The Chevrolet, touted as America’s Thrill Car for 1934, features Knee Action wheels a Blue Streak engine 80 horsepower and a 112 inch wheelbase promising a glide at 80 miles per hour.
