itinerant photographer Clark Conklin pleaded guilty to bigamy in district court before Judge Lyman H. Bennett. He received a one year state prison sentence and a $25 fine. Arrested Feb 19 at DOJ agents’ request, he allegedly brought 16 year old Vanda Parker from Rigby Idaho to Dillon and married her in Butte.

Trio Brought To Court On Booze Counts
E. E. Smith and Nellie Powell were arraigned in district court before Judge Bennett on charges of selling intoxicating liquor to minors. Smith pleaded guilty but asked to re-enter his plea next Monday. Powell, who had pleaded guilty in justice court, will be arraigned again next Monday. Harry Parker pleaded guilty in justice court to illegal possession of intoxicants and was fined 25 dollars. Frank Berta, Hugh Rudwell, and Gaylord Thompson were arraigned on taking fur from Staudenmeyer ranch. all pleaded guilty and received two year sentences, parole from the bench.

Mrs G T Paul Mrs John Collins and Mrs H G Rodgers were injured as a car driven by Mrs Paul left the highway south of Melrose and plunged into a ditch. The three women suffered bruises and shock. the car was damaged, occupants had to wade from water after the doors jammed. Dr W H Stephan tended to them in Dillon. Vodvil at Normal Boosters Draws Large Campus Audience

Beer Flood Hits Countryside After Truck Turn
A truck carrying keg and case beer overturned at the foot of Feeley hill last Thursday night. Driver Ted Ellis of Salmon sustained severe bruises and possible rib fractures while Milton Leeke of Salmon escaped serious injury. Several beer cases smashed though most kegs remained intact. The shipment from Missoula to Salmon was ruined as the new truck was badly wrecked.
