The Mears family expresses heartfelt appreciation for acts of kindness and sympathy shown during illness and death of their son and brother Con Mears. Special thanks for floral offerings are noted by Mrs. Mary Meara and family.
The family thanks friends and neighbors for kindness and sympathy shown at their mother and grandmother Mrs. Vica W. Carrigan and Victor Carrigan for floral offerings and support during her death and burial.
Mrs J C Smith hosted two auction bridge luncheons with Mrs W G Gilbert yesterday and Monday. Mr and Mrs W H Keller planned Whittier moves and were celebrated with pinochle dinners hosted by Mrs W B Hartwig and Mr and Mrs W F Stephensen. Mrs C E Blinn marked her husband Mr Blinn's birthday with a dinner and eight-table pinochle. Mrs Roscoe Cornell hosted red themed auction bridge for friends, with a similar event on Saturday by Mrs Cornell.
The Northside Country club will be entertained next Tuesday by Mrs Pilgrim. Dinner will be served at one and there will be an election of officers. Miss Berneice Metlen will entertain the Alpha Beta Chapter of the Westminster guild next Thursday. A silver tea will be given at the rectory next Thursday as a memorial to the late Mrs Mary Hooker. The Carroll club dance last Friday evening was a very delightful and successful affair, the first of its kind in four years.
