The fourth annual Minstrel and Vaudeville show at Hartwig theatre on March 12 and 13 sells reserved seats at Hughes and McCalebs. A seven piece orchestra directed by Frances Tonrey and a black face chorus of thirty lead a two hour program with skits, solos, and a one act drama.

Noted Paderewski to headline Montana music meet

Five hundred head of well broken work horses will pass through the sale ring at the annual auction sale of horses to be held here March 19. George Be Ditty of the Dillon Horse Sales Company says inquiries for first class farm horses are higher than in years, with spring farm work underway and demand earlier than for seven years.

Pioneer Matron Elizabeth Ashbaugh Dies at 91
Mrs. Elizabeth Ashbaugh, a pioneer of over fifty years in this county, died Monday morning at 91 from general debility. She was born February 21, 1833 in Yonkers New York and married Samuel Ashbaugh before moving west to ranching land three miles south of town. Survived by daughter Mrs. V. Carrigan and grandson Victor Carrigan, both of this city. Funeral held at family home with Rev. T W Bennett of St James Episcopal Church. interment Mountain View cemetery.

Dixon Veto Not Binding On Montana Primary Referendum
Montana voters will decide this fall if the presidential primary remains. Governor Dixon's veto on the repeal bill is considered invalid because constitutional Article V, section 1 excludes governor veto power on measures referred to the people by the legislature. Secretary of State will present the repeal to voters despite the veto.
