Montana State Normal College Concert By Little Symphony
The Little Symphony orchestra of Montana State Normal College will present its third annual concert in the college auditorium Sunday night directed by Miss Frances Robinson. The program spans American and English composers including Wakefield Alter Ketelbey Schubert and Vivaldi. The men’s and women’s glee clubs will assist with a religious chant and a choral piece respectively.

Grant Ranch Hand Claimed at Hospital
Morris Borosino a well known Grant ranch laborer died last Thursday at Barrett hospital after a brief illness. He was 68, of Swiss Italian ancestry, and had lived in Beaverhead county for 16 years. For the past decade he worked on the Carl Hansen ranch near Grant. He had many friends in the area. No survivors are listed in the readable text.

Wife of Carl Peterson of Wisdom Dies
Emma Peterson beloved wife of Carl Peterson and resident of the Big Hole basin died at her Wisdom home 1 am on her 68th birthday. Born February 27 1866 in Ontario Canada she settled in Michigan then Montana before marrying Carl Peterson in fall 1920. Funeral services were held in Wisdom Church conducted by Don Anson with burial in Wisdom cemetery.

Thieves Drain Standard Oil Gas Storage Tank
Approximately 4 500 gallons of gasoline were drained from a Standard Oil storage tank on the southern outskirts of the city last Friday night. Officers believe a tank truck was used due to the large amount taken and the ground being frozen.

Rotary to Entertain Wednesday in Dillon
Rotary club will host 30 business men and ranchers from the Armstead area for a dinner at the Metlen hotel Wednesday evening. President T. Lee McCracken announced at the Monday meeting. Monta man fined for trapping without license
Harry Rash of Monta pled guilty in Judge George Opp’s court to trapping without a license and was fined 27 dollars and 50 cents. Deputy Warden Charles Price arrested him.

Montana Senate Approves Income Tax Measure with Exemptions
The Montana senate yesterday endorsed a revenue bill taxing incomes with 1000 dollar exemption for single filers and 2000 for married couples. Proceeds split 25 percent to the state, 26 percent to the common school fund, and 50 percent to the school equalization fund. Other measures, including a land sale price bill and county deputy salary limits, were also acted on amid a busy session with Sunday sessions and motor vehicle legislation.

Beaverhead mining men will hear professors Oscar A. Dingman and Eugene Perry of the Montana School of Mines speak Friday night March 10 in the county courthouse under the Beaverhead Mining Association. Perry sent notice to Postmaster Fuller last week that the session would address mine water control and groundwater entry topics. Both talks cover Beaverhead mining issues and both papers are to be distributed at the session. The public is invited.
