Anderson Dies Suddenly During Visit in Jackson
Augustus Anderson, 71, longtime Council Grove resident, collapsed at Sam Peterson's ranch in Jackson last Saturday evening, likely from heart trouble. He and his wife had traveled for a long family visit, visiting relatives in Grant and Wisdom and Dillon. Survived by five children, three sons and two daughters, his body sent to Council Grove for burial.

Hundreds of Normal school students on summer session rides to Barretts for the annual outing. Automo bile buses carried the party to Barretts station and back. A serious auto accident occurred when a bus and a car collided near the water, but all occupants were rescued with no injuries.
