Acquittal in Stoller Murder Trial Ends Prolonged Deliberation

Ephraim Stoller was found not guilty after a nineteen hour jury deliberation in the murder case of Chris Scholomitti, a Greek restaurant manager killed with a shotgun in Dillon. The trial, presided by Judge J. C. Smith, featured testimony about family troubles and alleged affairs, with defense by John Collings and T. W Gilbert and prosecution by W. G. Gilbert.

July Horse Sale Set by Dillon Horse Sales Company

A large two day horse auction is planned for July 16 and 17 at the Dillon Horse Sales Company yards, with about 1 000 head listed though not all available. Buyers from across the region attend, many new to the ring, as traders hope to boost Dillon as a premier horse market.

Miss Mabel Siria Dies in Butte at Age Twenty

Miss Mabel Siria known as Miss Dolly Siria died in Butte last Sunday after an operation. The body was taken to Melrose for funeral services conducted by Rev. H. G. Humphrey of Dillon's Methodist church. She lived in Dillon as a girl of ten and later moved to Butte, attended Butte Business college, and is survived by her mother, father, three brothers Carl Walter and Bert, and a younger sister.

Normal dormitory project begins as Reed contractor moves in

R. C. Paysee, for W. G. Reed of Twin Falls Idaho, arrives to start work on the Normal dormitory. About 8000 dollars of building material is on site and construction on the state building will be rushed. H. J. Bostwick finished the excavation last fall.
