Dillon Team Drops A Game At Twin Bridges

The Dillon ball team lost last Sunday to Twin Bridges with Dillon outplayed in every phase. New additions, third baseman Seifert and a first baseman and pitcher from Chicago, are expected to strengthen the lineup. Upcoming game on July 1 against Ogden's Honest John McCloskey team at Dillon is billed as a major event.

Floods Force Postponement of Chamber of Commerce Excursion

The Butte chamber of commerce trade excursion into eastern Idaho and southwestern Montana was postponed due to washouts on the Gil Moore and Pittsburg railroad. The organizing committee announced plans are abandoned and it is unlikely the trip will occur before the July 4 celebration.

Dillon Young Man Married Sunday in Wildwood Ranch

Miss Lillian Amelia Jones wed Forrest Gates Bayerd at Wildwood ranch near Twin Bridges in a noon ceremony attended by intimate relatives. Rev. Harvick officiated as Luella Jones played the wedding march. The couple plans a brief honeymoon to Butte before returning to housekeeping on South Pacific street.

Big Auction of Horses Set for Wisdom July First

The Big Hole basin hosts its first major horse auction July 1 at Wisdom. Over four hundred horses of all classes to be sold as buyers from across the country attend. Auctioneer Col Clyde Moore will run the sale, managed by Chas. E. Miller of Wisdom. Further details appear elsewhere in the paper.

Beading County Board Proceedings on Road Warrants and Roads

The county board audited claims and ordered stricter warrant approval by the county attorney for arrests by Justice courts. They detailed road projects including new bridges, right of way agreements, and a Timber road, with multiple viewers appointed and bids reviewed. Rail plan ties Boise to two main lines via Oregon Short Line

Boise Statesman reports a bold Harriman Till program linking two Boise mains and Emmett, with the Oregon Short Line adding Boise to a main line by finishing the Owinza-Payette cut off. The Northwestern line would extend from Salmon to Challis and down the Payette to Boise, then to Winnemucca and San Francisco, while the Idaho Northern pushes from Long valley toward Payette Lake and Butte.
