Montana State Normal College 101 Graduates Commence
With the largest class in its history numbering 101, the spring term ends tomorrow at the Montana State Normal College. The thirtieth annual spring commencement is at 10:30 a m with Lyman H. Bennett as speaker and Chancellor Melvin Bran non delivering diplomas to the graduates presented by Pres. S E. Davis. Rev R O Shannon gives the invocation and benediction. A musical program features Ralph McFadden and the college glee clubs.

Mrs. Maud J. Armitage wife of W. A. Armitage died at her daughter Mrs. D. J. Stephens home in Dillon after nearly two years of illness. She was born in Minneapolis on September 5 1860 and lived in Silver Star for over forty years before moving to Dillon.

Earl Opp Shoots Self in Leg Showing Revolver
Earl Opp, a well known Dilton Jroung man, accidentally shot himself in the leg with a .22 while demonstrating the revolver to his brother Harris. The pistol discharged with the barrel downward. He was rushed to the Ditlon Clinic and treated by Dr. M. A. Walker. he is resting easily.

Wise River Rodeo Draws Big Crowd in Beaverhead County

Ball Winner Lima Fight by Knockout
Ball defeated Young Dempsey of Helena by technical knockout in the tenth round of a scheduled 12 round bout in Lima Saturday night. The main event card was staged under Beaverhead post of the American Legion with promoter J B Butner of Lima. Ball controlled the action from the start as Dempsey tried to rally, but his seconds stopped the fight in the tenth.

Flooded counties reveal numerous heroism acts as relief work begins. Sven Johnson identified as a man killed near Melrose by a train. born February 20 1856 in Sweden. Inquest waived. Bozeman Firm Wins Dillon Butte Highway Contract
The Pioneer Construction company of Bozeman secured the Dillon to Butte state highway contract with a bid of 79,689.61, the lowest among offers. Work will start in a few weeks using local labor as much as possible to gravel and grade nearly ten miles south from Brown's station, eliminating curves and avoiding railroad crossings.

Reservoir Break Affects Dillon Water Supply Near Argenta

Charles H. Niblack a leading Dillon merchant rode a boat with Roy Forrester when a 4 swell overturned it near Maiden Rock. Niblack clung to the hull and was swept a mile and a half downstream before reaching shore as the river flooded and swirled.
