Graduation exercises for the eighth graders of the Normal College training school and the Montana State Normal College commencement featured speeches by Pres. Alfred E. Atkinson and Pres. Sheldon E. Davis. Diplomas were conferred by George M. Gosman with invocation by Rev. Arnold Nelson and music by Ralph McFadden and the college chorus.

Large Montana trapshooting meet at Dillon Gun Club over three days saw 100 gunners. Dillon won four state titles and retained the state team championship in a telegraphic race shoot-off with Sheridan. Emmett Simmons of Butte and Tom McMahon of Butte tied for singles glory. Simmons won the shoot-off 24 to 23. Lee Yealy of Shelby captured the Rod and Gun trophy with a 39 of 40 in a 15 singles 20 yard event.

Herman Peterson, ex Dillon Gun Club star now in Los Angeles, won the California state handicap race last Sunday from the 24-yard line, breaking 94. Poor weather with high winds affected scores as his former club mates captured four Montana titles in their state meet.

Beaverhead County selects 11 range examiners under the agricultural conservation program. Five are already at work, including Lloyd Bernhard Charles Schramm Burt Hurwitz Clem Kalitowski and Link Landell.
