Brick House Finished In Three Days By Murphy Brothers Crew
Last Thursday local attorney W G Gilbert Jr helped inaugurate a rush brick build in three days as the Murphy brothers and helpers poured mortar and set brick. The crew included Owen Great Falls architect Joe John Vincent Pat Frank Bruce and Bill Tayne with the elder Murphy father sidelined by illness. The rapid project used a power mixer and weekend labor to reach wall and fireplace completion and prep for roof by Sunday evening.

Father of Dillon Woman Loses Life When Home Burns
Mike Francis Anglim aged 62 of Chester Montana died in a house fire last Friday. He was found by neighbor Ed Eilers and had lived alone on a Chester area farm for thirty years. Cause of the blaze is unknown. He was born May 16 1885 in Lyndon Wisconsin, son of James and Katharine Anglim. Survived by daughter Mrs George Heikkila and two grandchildren Gerald and Ronald of Dillon, a brother Jerry Anglim of Lyndon, Wisconsin, and a sister Margaret Anglim of Chicago. Funeral arrangements in Chester with a nephew from Chicago expected.

The Normal College Art Club hosted its annual breakfast at the Andrus hotel before baccalaureate. Earl Allen served as toastmaster with guests Pres. and Mrs. Rush Jordan and Arthur Jacobsen. Dry point etchings served as favors, art club songs debuted, and guard pins were awarded for 100 hours of extra work to Phyllis Davis, Roma Allen, May King, Donald Wallin, and Earl Allen.

Fiftieth commencement exercises at Normal College Thursday
The Normal college marks its fiftieth annual commencement on Thursday at 10 o'clock. HH. A. Davee of the class of 1902 will speak on Our Major Resource. Degrees and diplomas will be conferred by President Rush Jordan to a list of named graduates. The college sing and candlelight procession occur Wednesday evening with an informal dance at The Corral afterward.

Woody Brothers Ranch Sold to John Dooling in Big Hole Basin
The Woody Brothers ranch, over 3700 acres of hay and pasture lands plus headquarters, was sold to John Dooling of Jackson. Forest reserve grazing rights transfer with the deal. The price was not disclosed. The Woody brothers, Robert E. and James B., operated in the Big Hole basin for 46 years. Most livestock has sold. an auction will liquidate remaining equipment and household goods next Tuesday.

Charles Schulz, longtime Big Hole basin resident, died last Sunday in Roundup. He and Eliza Stephens wed Sept 27, 1900 in a double ceremony here. Survived by his wife, daughter and son-in-law Floyd and May Schulz and their grandchildren, plus brothers Tom, Otto, Lawrence, and Frank, and nephew Atty. Leonard Schulz.

Memorial Day Program Draws Large Crowd in Dillon

At Salt Lake City the eleventh annual intermountain junior live stock show features Montana represented in cattle by Jim Griffith and Ernest Stoppel of Beaverhead county high school Future Farmers. They were the first entrants to arrive, traveling the longest distance, earning special mention. Entries came from 26 Utah counties, five Idaho counties, and two Wyoming counties, with Beaverhead providing the sole Montana entries.

New Owners Take Over Management Dell Mercantile
