Homer Kent aged 45 formerly of Dillon died in Missoula after a short illness. His body returned to Dillon for a Sunday funeral at Brundage Chapel with Christian Science services and Mountain View cemetery interment. Mike Rebich Jr., a longtime Beaverhead valley resident, died after a collision near Rupert Idaho. The 38 year old Dillon man was driving from San Francisco when fatigue caused him to leave the highway and roll the car three times. He suffered basal skull fracture and internal injuries. He left behind wife Catherine Gregovich and three children Carl Florence and Elmer, plus his father Mike Rebich Sr. and seven sisters.

Alma Redington a Lemhi county pioneer and Salmon native died last Thursday at Barrett hospital after a major operation she was admitted for. Born July 29, 1880, she resided in Salmon and visited Dillon often at her daughter Mrs. L Ott Gordon s home. Survivors include son Ted Redington of Olympia Washington. Funeral held Sunday in Salmon with burial in Salmon cemetery.

Schoolmates Reunite As Major General Butler Visits Depot
Butler of Pennsylvania and N. S. Ring, once Quaker Hill schoolmates in 1897, renewed acquaintance during a brief depot platform greeting when General Butler made a stop in the city. The famed officer died in Philadelphia on June 21.

John Drummey Honored by Elks at National Convention
John Drummey of Seattle, brother of Mrs. H. M. Brundage of Dillon and former local resident, was elected grand esteemed leading knight of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks at the Houston convention yesterday. Two Men Sentenced for Forgery in District Court
Two men pled guilty before Judge Henry G. Rodgers and were sentenced to state prison for forgery. Sylvester Craig drew four years for cashing a forged check bearing the fictitious signature of E. W. Smith. Kenneth Snelson received three years for forging the signature of Hans Mikkelson, a Beaverhead rancher.

Doctor Beck Speaks at Dillon Rotary Dinner
Dr E C Beck of Mount Pleasant Michigan formerly a faculty member at the training school in Illinois spoke at the Dillon Rotary Club dinner Monday night. He is a Rotarian and discussed Rotary problems in the Michigan Ontario district. He also shared American folklore ballads collected from plain people and performed readings praised for their plain language appeal. Captain Merrill C Davenport of the U S medical corps stationed in Brooklyn was honored.

Woman Sentenced to Sixty Days in Petty Larceny Case
Beulah Brown pleaded guilty before Judge Louis Stahl in justice court and drew a 60 day county jail term for petty larceny. She admitted taking articles from a fellow passenger’s suitcase aboard a train at the Butte depot. Officer E D McConnell reported the recovery and served as arresting official.
