Company notes indicate Camp F-60 and Camp 1501 faced small fires Monday with crews under George Judge and Bryant Fannin, no damage reported. Units from Camp 1501 traveled to Butte for baseball with Whitehall camp, plus 40 men invited to the Butte rodeo.
Eugene Swanberg learned on Thursday July 9 that his forestry application for a man was approved and he was to start immediately. Six Montana juniors were enrolled in Company 1501, all college students assigned to the Virginia City experiment station for research work. John J. Stevens reports Mrs. Lewis Ford of Lima visited the city Friday.
The preliminary budgets for the 1936-1937 school year for county districts are on file in the county superintendent's office and open to taxpayers. The board of school budget supervisors will meet there on Monday July 27 at 10 a.m. to consider fix and adopt final budgets.
