Three Youths Arrested for Vandalism at Millpoint
Three youths employed on tranches of the Grasshopper section were arrested by Sheriff Claude Lay on vandalism charges after wrecking the interior of the old stage coach at Millpoint west of Dillon. They admitted through a confession that two others were involved. damage was about 300 dollars. The trio, two from California and one from Dillon, were released after agreeing to pay for the destruction.

Mason spoke on First Aid Accident Prevention and Water Safety at the opening assembly. Health education was a focus in daily assemblies last week and into Monday. Dr. R. D. Curry discussed Care of the Teeth and Schubert Dyche addressed the Kellogg Project's Montana Health Education Initiative. President Sheldon E. Davis spent part of the week in Helena attending university executive council and state education board meetings.

Two Ranching Tasks Overlapping This Year
Beaverhead ranchers face overlapping tasks this month with shearing near completion and haying well underway. Weather disruptions slowed shearers in June while recent sunshine boosted activity before thunder showers paused work yesterday. Wool shipments left Dillon Armstead and Monida for eastern buyers including George Melton Sam Ditty Walter Foster and Charles Burden who bought the Beaverhead wool pool for an eastern firm. Hay yield is expected to be average and the labor shortage remains non critical for now.

Youth Caravan Visits Dillon for Vacation Church School
