Safe precautions for lightning storms and common myths
Do not bathe or use electrical appliances during a storm. Stand away from metal objects and open fireplaces. In a car with a steel frame you are relatively safe, but stay inside if a live wire falls. Lightning can benefit the soil by adding nitrogen, and myths persist about recognizing strikes by thunder or flash.
