Veterans Administration GI Bill six year facts
The VA reports most WWII veterans benefited from the GI Bill with education loans and readjustment subsidies. About seven million veterans studied or trained, loans topped 11 billion dollars for 2.1 million borrowers, and 92 percent of loans funded home purchases with low default rates. Readjustment allowances ended for most in 1949, and NSLI dividend inquiries are advised after June 30, 1950.
