Death of Mrs. Sarah J. Wolfe in Dillon
Mrs. Sarah J. Wolfe widow of George Wolfe longtime Dillon resident died at Barrett hospital Monday morning June 26 after two years of declining health. Born July 8 1870 in Wayne County Iowa she moved to Dillon in 1800 with her husband who ran a local barbershop. She belonged to Neighbors of Woodcraft Hollywood lodge Rebekah lodge and Methodist church. Survived by daughter Ruth Wolfe Butte teacher son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. George Klinski of Portland Ore three nieces a cousin and several grand-nieces and nephews. Services set for 2 p m tomorrow at Grace Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Robert N. Johnstone. burial Mountain View Cemetery.

Clyde McKee of Montana State College spoke on cattleman competitiveness and advancement ideas for feed crops, cattle strains, irrigation forecasts, hay feeding, mineral feeds, and irrigated beef production. Music by Bill Gandrud and Miss Mary Sinclair complemented a dinner before younger members swam in the new pool led by John Walters, George Mithun, and Fred Bridenstine.

Former Dillon Resident Dies in Alaska Boating Accident
Dewey Wheeler, former Dillon resident and husband of Fern Goodfellow, died in a boat accident near Anchorage when their craft capsized while fishing. He drowned before aid could reach him. Wheeler and his wife moved to Alaska about a year ago. His body will be flown to Montana for services and burial in Dillon later this week. Survived by wife, a two month old baby, son Gene of Helena, and three stepchildren.

The Dillon City band gave its first concert on the Union Pacific depot grounds drawing a large audience. Under A. H. Hartwig the 8 p m program lasted about an hour with Sousa and other selections. Iver Johnson aged 88, early Bannack pioneer, died Saturday morning at county hospital after a long illness. A blacksmith and carpenter, he was born in Nebraska, never married, and no relatives are located. Services and burial were held Monday with the body interred at Mountain View cemetery.

Frank P. Wagner age 67 a Wise River ranch cook was found dead in his car near Dewey with authorities ruling carbon monoxide poisoning. The body was discovered by Enor McCoy a Butte fisherman after his car had sat with the engine running for over an hour. Two Lima men were injured in a Sunday argument over a 16 gauge shotgun pistol. One man was shot on the hand and the other sustained ear and neck gashes. Both were hospitalized at Barrett hospital.
