Sheriff Majors Refuses to Return Draft Fees in Helena
Helena January 26 deputies and Gov Stewart discussed the legal and ethical aspects of county draft board fees. Sheriff Ed Majors of Beaverhead County says he will keep the $368 he drew for draft work, calling it personal expenses. Several counties have already kept or returned various amounts, with different officials taking differing stances on the issue.
