Clark Yee Dies at Camp Meade in WWI service
Clark Yee of Beaverhead County died at Camp Meade Maryland due to acute diabetes. Funeral planned Sunday at two from the Masonic Temple with interment at Mountain View Cemetery beside his parents. Survived by brother Frank Yee and two sisters Mrs D D Robson of Idaho Falls and Mrs in Tippecanoe Ohio. Yee had enlisted in Company A 27 engineers after leaving Bannack Gold Mining Company in October. He carried a $10 000 life insurance policy with the government.

Dillon prepares for the formal opening of the modern Hotel Andrus on Thursday evening February 14 led by owner Harry Andrus. The four story white brick building at South Idaho and Glendale features a large lobby cafe cabaret and orchestra. Murray Jacobs Dies Suddenly In Mint Saloon
Remains of Murray Jacobs taken to Seattle by brother for cremation. Jacobs, 47, born in San Francisco, had lived in this city over two years and managed Gray News stand. He collapsed after drinking mineral water at the Mint saloon. He had earlier collected for his firm and died in W. L. Potter's bar.

Prominent Beaverhead Merchant Louis Fyhrie Dies in Dillon
Louis C Fyhrie a pioneer Dillon merchant died suddenly of heart trouble and pneumonia in his Metlen hotel room. Born in Germany seventy years ago he came to the United States as a youth and worked along the overland trail. He lived and operated businesses in Barretts Dillon Walla Walla and other western cities before returning to Dillon two months ago. Funeral plans await confirmation.

A letter from Joe Irving reports he lost a leg and an arm while fighting on the western front. Irving, once a Madison and Beaverhead sheep businessman, enlisted after many of his Scottish-born brothers joined the war. He later became an officer and has many friends in Dillon shocked by the news.
