Judge Lyman H. Bennett presided at a district court session on Monday and left Tuesday for Boulder on court business, accompanied by Cr. Sten. F. D. Willis.
Melrose residents engage in visits to Dillon and Butte while others travel for medical, business, and family matters. Local events include a Rebekah lodge pinochle prize night, enlistment notices for Melrose youths, and a party honoring servicemen. Multiple residents plan moves, hospital visits, and tax help. fishing, travel to Seattle, and trips to Whitehall and Pasco are noted.

The Wisdom Woman's club met at the club house on Wednesday afternoon with refreshments by Mrs. Raymond Johnson. Numerous Dillon and Whitehall visitors and local residents shared travel, games, and basketball outings, noting a 30 below temperature and a weekend blizzard.
