Milwaukee engineers on old Montana Southern survey consider a Jefferson River water grade route. A main line may run within twenty five miles of Dillon with a branch spur likely into the town. Engineering News notes the Seattle extension could begin from Butte to Miles City with a four year build to Seattle.

Sheriff Duke Gist and rancher John Keenan formed a partnership named Keenan and Gist. They own 1200 acres of hay land six miles above Jackson in the Big Hole basin. Deeds were filed with Clerk Baker. The firm plans to feed cattle this winter and has five to six hundred tons of hay for spring sale.

Three Greeks Fined for Killing Ducks near Barrett’s Station
Deputy Game Warden Henry Avare of Butte investigated reports of duck killings near Barrett's station. Three Greek men employed by Short Line, John Kucelas Chris Kargea and Andrew Scolas, were arrested in Dillon, pleaded guilty, and fined $40 each with the remainder suspended. An interpreter aided the preliminary hearing.

Two Danish residents were married last Sunday in Dil Jon. Margrete Pedersen wed Jena Peter Jensen at the Presbyterian church at 2 PM, followed by Christina Hangen and Mat Sorenson at the Episcopal church at 3 PM. The ceremonies were attended by relatives and friends and a wedding dinner was held at Jasper Nelson’s home. Both grooms are prosperous ranchmen and the brides are noted for popularity among Danish residents.

Young man found dead at Carter ranch cabin
Charles Renzelman a young sheepherder employed by George Edinger at the Carter ranch near Dillon was found dead in a cabin Sunday morning. Coroner Walker attributed death to heart paralysis caused by pneumonia after a brief illness. Renzelman had lived in Dillon about three years and worked at the P. O. ranch prior to this position. The funeral was held yesterday at Mountain View Cemetery.
